RN Resident Apprenticeship Program
Transitioning from the classroom to the bedside can be a difficult journey for many new nurses. In response, Sovah Health is proud to offer our RN Resident Transition to Practice Apprenticeship Program. This apprenticeship program is designed to support recent graduate nurses as they develop proficiency in both their new role and our organization's culture. Through a blended learning experience that combines online modules with preceptor/mentor support, this program bridges the gap between academic preparation and practice to boost clinical confidence in our new nurses.
Throughout these phases and upon completion of the program, new nurses can expect to receive the following benefits in addition to your Human Resources benefits:
- Classroom, simulated and hands on experience
- Field trips to different departments to learn from the experts and gain hands on learning.
- Development of clinical and critical thinking skills
- Clinical growth and development
- Opportunity to provide a higher level of quality care to patients
- Necessary support to develop clinical knowledge, skills and judgment to become a high performing nurse
- Knowledge and implementation of current evidenced base practice
- Opportunity to help develop an evidence-based project in the clinical setting
- Continuous support from experienced mentors/preceptors
- 1:1 support from the Nurse Residency Coordinator
