The Hospital Auxiliary of Martinsville & Henry County Inc.

The Hospital Auxiliary of Martinsville & Henry County Inc is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to promoting community wellness and education. To support its various programming and wellness initiatives, the Auxiliary raises funds through different sources including a variety of sales, individual and corporate donations, as well as Forget-Me-Not Gift Shop, a full-time specialty shop located within the main lobby of Sovah Health - Martinsville. As a not-for-profit organization, all funds raised by the Auxiliary are transferred into established programs, providing patient support and assistance to those in our community lacking resources to maintain their health.

The Auxiliary supplies the Patient Care Fund for patients at Sovah Health in Martinsville. Through the Patient Care Fund, we can provide assistance to patients in need of new medications emergently as well as durable medical equipment.

The Patient Care Fund has also allowed us to grow our Heart Failure program in providing us the means to put the tools necessary for the management of the condition into the patient’s hands (scales, blood pressure monitors, pulse oximeter, cups for monitoring fluids, and pill planners). Without the Patient Care Fund through the hospital auxiliary, we would be unable to help our patients with these things necessary to manage their care and keep our community healthy.

Through the Patient Care Fund we have been able to assist many in our community and hope we can continue to do so for many years to come.
