Sovah Health Welcomes New Gastroenterologist

Sovah Health announced that Kimberly Beavers, MD, MPH has joined its medical staff and is offering gastroenterology services for patients at Sovah Health – Danville.

“Dr. Beavers’ expertise and experience will help Sovah Health expand access to gastroenterology care to the residents of Danville, Pittsylvania County and the surrounding region,” said Steve Heatherly, Market President, Sovah Health. “We are excited to welcome Dr. Beavers to our team and community.”   

Dr. Beavers received her Doctor of Medicine, as well as completed her residency and fellowship in gastroenterology and transplant hematology at the University of North Carolina (Chapel Hill, NC). She is Board Certified in Gastroenterology through the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Beavers is an active member of the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and American College of Gastroenterology. She is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association and the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases.

Dr. Beavers will be seeing patients at Sovah Health – Danville’s Emergency Room and Inpatient Units specializing in inpatient gastroenterology services.
