When an accident or illness affects your ability to live an active life, Sovah Health - Danville’s Inpatient Rehab Unit can put you on the road to recovery, close to home. The Unit features all private rooms with necessary medical equipment as well as the amenities of home. Our Inpatient Rehab Unit provides comprehensive rehabilitation in the form of daily Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy. We are dedicated to helping people get past the hurdles of recovery and back to their lives, to work, family, active retirement, and independent living.
In order for patients to meet criteria for acute rehabilitation, they must be below their prior level of function, be able to tolerate at least 3 hours of therapy (broken up and given throughout the day), and must qualify for two therapies (OT, PT, or Speech). What Should I Bring?
We want your experience to be like you are at home, so in the mornings you will get dressed and ready for the day. We will have you participating in therapies and activities each day, so you should bring:
We encourage you to bring items that will make your stay with us comfortable. Please refrain from bringing expensive or irreplaceable items. Washer and dryers for clothing are not available on our units so you will need to make arrangements for laundering your personal clothing.
Can I Have Visitors?
Visits from family and friends are encouraged, and their participation in your treatment and educational programs is recommended. Visiting hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 1 p.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday and Sunday. We respectfully request that visitors not interrupt your treatment schedule or rest breaks. We want you to receive the maximum benefit from the program.
Will Insurance Pay?
Medicare and most insurances pay for the rehabilitative services provided by the Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Sovah Health - Danville Some insurance plans will also cover your co-payment responsibility. A representative from the hospital can answer any questions you
and your family may have about your benefits and coverages.
The Rehab Unit is located on the 3rd floor of the J Building in the hospital. A physician referral to the unit is needed.
